Polyfunctional silane crosslinker for scratch resistant stoving enamels
VESTANAT® EP-M based on IPMS and PUR adductst combines PUR properties with glass-like hardness in a single, NCO-free component
VESTANAT® EP-M grades are silanes for curing at elevated temperatures (>80°C). These grades are used in combination with suitable binders and enable the formulation of highly scratch resistant coatings.
Benefits at a glance
- Outstanding scratch resistance
- Excellent chemical resistance
- Full performance in combination with appropriate resins
- Booster for 2K PUR systems
Applications
- Scratch resistant wood and metal coatings
- Impregnating coatings for wooden or mineral substrates
M Grades
VESTANAT® EP-M 60 is a solvent free, polyfunctional methoxy silane. It is used as a crosslinker to formulate highly scratch resistant coatings.
VESTANAT® EP-M 95 is a solvent free, polyfunctional methoxy silane. It is used as a crosslinker to formulate highly scratch resistant coatings.
VESTANAT® EP-M 222 is a solvent based, polyfunctional methoxysilane which can be used as a co-crosslinker to increase the flexibility of stoving, highly scratch resistant enamels.
VESTANAT® EP-M 222 X is a methoxysilane functional urethane crosslinker that can be used as a crosslinker to increase the flexibility of highly scratch resistant coatings, e.g. highly scratch resistant NISO*2 coatings. It is dissolved at 85 % in xylene, allowing it to be used in low-VOC coatings formulations.
