Whether oak, beech or maple, a ship's deck or a cottage floor, rustic ambience or modern look: Parquet wood flooring brings a piece of nature into every home. With its natural and individual look, the flooring creates a feel-good atmosphere, due to the fact that parquet is one of the so-called foot-warm floors. “Warm to the feet” describes a flooring that appears warm when you first step on it. So, if you like to walk barefoot in your home, a floor made of real wood is a great choice.
Parquet is not only beautiful, warm and easy to maintain, but also offers a robust and durable flooring that looks and feels good to the touch. However, parquet wood substrates do require adequate protection. With the appropriate coating, felt slippers like in museums are not needed to protect the floor. Polyurethane coatings are especially suitable for parquet floors subjected to heavy wear in public areas, such as public facilities or shops. Polyurethane parquet coatings ensure high chemical and physical resistance, while also giving a gloss finish to the wooden surface.

VESTANAT® IPDI, a refining stage of isophorone - gives wood coatings a high-quality appearance and good mechanical properties. Coatings formulated with VESTANAT® IPDI are very easily processed: They cure even at low temperatures and are fast drying for fast return to service and downstream processing.
