Successful expo for Evonik in Dubai
The MECS was very successful for Evonik. 300 exhibitors welcomed more than 1,700 visitors at this year’s Middle East Coatings Show (MECS).
Besides ample opportunity for interesting discussions, the exceptionally savvy delegates this year also provided the Business Units with a chance to close deals.
Despite the economic crisis, the number of delegates who gathered at the recently inaugurated Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center to find out more on the exhibitors’ products and solutions remained constant. Evonik attended with a total of 14 colleagues from the different Business Units.
Coatings & Additives focused on crosslinkers, resins and additives – which, combined with expert technical advice serve to generate clear competitive advantages in the customer’s market.
Everybody on the Evonik stand agreed that the quality of the discussions was on higher level compared to previous years. The tougher economic times certainly contributed to this development by steering more knowledgeable and competent delegates to Evonik. The evening event was also very well received: 60 delegates accepted the invitation to short presentations on new product developments – and Indian cuisine.
This year marked the 17th edition of the Middle East Coatings Show. One couldn’t help but notice the strong presence of Chinese exhibitors, which has been steadily increasing over the past few years.
